Day 5 of sydney! we got up bright and early to head to paddy's market which is something like a flea market and the bus drivers are all like you've got to go there!! but we got lost again!! and everyone started getting annoyed with everyone... and my mum just stood in one corner, took pictures of our grumpy faces and sniggered. but once we reached paddy's market the smiles appeared! so weird the sign said no pills allowed! and here's paddy market...abit like bangkok stalls...lots of souvenirs and i ♥ sydney tees.. road sign with felix the cat on it! bus driver also said there's the best ice cream in sydney near the end of chinatown... the ice cream was okay only.. but the crepe was awesome!! then we headed up the bridge right beside the ice cream place to darling harbour...at last.. and coz i had super horrible thigh muscle aches from all the stair-climbing the previous day i couldn't walk properly at all..couldn't even go down the bridge normally..and my family was all the bottom waiting and laughing ))): it was the worst muscle ache ever! and it lasted 3 whole days!!! here's some scary-looking bark on trees at darling harbour...looks like army camo! and look! oporto and krispy kreme nxt to each other! and such a weird name if it were in singapore..heh.. and this was the day i got sunburnt..without even realising it... yay we walked past the cupcake shop and it was opened! it was sooo pretty inside. but the queue was pretty long... and soon it was time to head back...there's sparkling lighted singapore from the plane... and we're back! so i guess sydney was much more than i expected..i guess a holiday to anywhere would be fun..loads of food, shopping and new places to discover isn't too bad a deal! and sydney with its huge asian population and friendly ppl made me feel very comfortable! i ♥ syd (day 4)

our day out to the blue mountains! was super tired after 3hrs of sleep only..but i slept for 30mins and got jolted awake by something. and our bus was passing past this car sale place where the whole street was occupied by automobile dealers. can you believe it? 40 grand for a bmw suv! i want!!! first stop of the day was featherdale wildlife park. once i was in, i went bonkers! was like a crazy gal scaring all the animals. guess five days without bitbit did that to me. the kangaroo down there did a quick two-step and skipped off along when i tried to pet it. just look at it trying to avoid me. ))): and i saw a real pelican for the first time! it was HUGE!!! and really fierce.... and i was really excited coz on the brouchure they wrote, 'you'll get a chance to hug a koala bear!' so when i saw the koala, i skipped right up to it. and asked the park keeper whether i could hold it. he was super grumpy! he said no. so i was like okay. then i was reaching for the koala's head coz bitbit really like it when i sayang her head. and the park keeper was like no. all i could was to touch its butt. owells..still i was in close proximity to a koala! next up was feeding the kangaroos! just look at this cutie!! looks a little like bitbit... lots of hungry roos hopping around. my favourite wonderland..haha...for like half a day! well they were all slurping my hands like any..and it stank! found this really different looking kangaroo that ppl were avoiding coz it looked really old. but its fur was really nice to the touch. others were like normal furry animals. this ol' fella's fur felt like velvet! so i took a special liking to it and fed it. but it snatched my entire cone of food and started eating it..goodness! and after it finished the entired cone. it started to scratch its own body..soo hilarious! and while we were at the koalas' enclosure, there were two koalas that were like this. and this australian schoolboy kept pointing out the koalas to my dad haha..and my dad gamely listened to him. oh and i think my mum takes the nicest candid shots... here's me with the crocodile that's too lazy to hunt for food even when it's given to it voluntarily. and albino kangaroos! and this little cute thing which i don't recall its name just kept reaching for my hand. when i was on the bus after leaving the park, i read on the factsheet do not place your hands in the enclosure as some of the animals bite !!!! same animal. still can't find its name after google-ing it! it starts with a Q though.. and here me and my sis finding something very amusing.... my dad communicating with more australian schoolkids...gosh! and here's a wombat! had to go back to revisit the kangaroos which were now really full and sated... had to revisit the koala as well.... next stop was the blue mountains where the three sisters are! not really blue in the picture. but it's blue because the eucalyptus trees give out a vapour that gives a blue hue to the mountains... the bus driver said that it was 60 steps to the bottom of one of the three sisters. apparently he was joking..coz the sign here says it's VERY STEEP for strong walkers only...as usual didn't see the sign until i descended and came up! rickity rock stairs and mesh steps all the way down..and i have a phobia of heights! my sis left me at this point )))): my parents decided to give it a miss as their knees weren't feeling that good the rest of the tour group stopped halfway but i continued with 3 other guys coz how often does one claim that they have been down to the bottom of one of the three sisters. the view down there was great! but after climbing what seemed like hundreds of steps, we saw a sign that said HALF WAY POINT. gosh. so we decide to turn back...i wanted to take the rear end coz i didn't want to hold up the front. but the guys were like we're all supposed to go tgt as a group. so as we climbed and climbed, my thighs started getting trembly and weak. and i didn't dare stop or slow down too much as they were all behind me. thank god one of the guys made us stop for breaks along the way. took pictures on the break too..here i am with this guy who's super metrosexual! he wears super thin cigarette pants and loud belts and pointy glittery shoes! haha and he came along today as it was an optional tour. his parents have been to the blue mountains before so they didn't want to go along...and his brother is too young to follow him.. one of the other guy who skipped past me on the way down and said 'take your time arhh' while i was on my slow way down coz i was super scared...boooo...and metro guy is wearing a belt that says playboy...ahaha... bernice was at the top waiting for me awwww and she suggested we take gossip girl shots...which are shots taken while walking..or define it again if i'm wrong! then we headed on bus to something 5 mins away...the world's steepest ride i believe! we sat with metro boy! and bernice's favourite hot bus driver who looks like wentworth miller sat right behind us! and they had all this sign that was scaring me coz i was sitting on the outside end of the seat that wasn't going to be covered like the inner seat was!! limbs are difficult to replace...haha like that's not gonna scare me... i'm trying to upload the video i took while heading down the ride..hopefully it gets uploaded! and here it is! have fun watching it! then we had to walk around this rainforesty area.... metro guy again! and to head up we had to take this cable car ride! back at the gift shop..bee and a psychadelic hat! next stop was the stadium used for the sydney olympics... next up was homebush bay factory outlet shops..which there was no photos because the bus driver gave us freaking 30mins for more than 20 factory outlet shopss..wthh....angry with wentworth-miller lookalike! there were shops like cotton on, oroton, nine west, puma and all the surf shops like ripcurl quiksilver...guess what we were back at the bus 20minutes late. and we were the last ones too. bernice and i were running back to the bus like any...like sprinting even! but the gladiators i wanted to get the day before? it was 50 bucks off at this place wheeee! well..my dad ran back as well. he said he was 5 minutes late and he was the first one back! ahaha... and since thursday was late shopping night. we went shopping at last! but we had to rush coz we were back to sydney around 7 and the shops closed at 9! the lighted-decor church in the day.... queen victoria building again..this time round we got onto the higher floors.. had dinner at myers food hall...wanted to eat kfc but we had something better called Oporto! kfc running out of stock of their chicken was the best thing that happened coz Oporto's chicken is the best tasting chicken ever!! at the entrance of myers foodhall was just this whole troop of xmas trees! and after all the shops have closed we went in to woolworths the grocery stall to get all the last minute souvenirs coz the trip was just too packed with activities. so expect loads of chocs everyone! and so it was the end of day 4 which was the end of the trip really coz we were going to the airport the next day. stayed up late yet again with my mum to pack and i watched Whose Line again! it shows at 3am aussie time ((: p.s. please use IE as firefox doesn't go well with the html of my template and it gets cut off at the end! i used firefox as well though ((: i ♥ syd (day 3)
breakfast number 2 by the poolside! yummers..miss the huge breakfast that's missing here in singapore.. here's the round the whole resort pool..it's beside some sand pit. and ppl would just walk into the pool with sandy feet. so the first step of the pool was way sandy..surprisingly there was no sand in the rest of the pool. so after brekkie we headed back to the room for more self-timer fun! so after we checked out we headed to the Stockton Bight sand dunes for our 4WD tour and sand boarding! here's what it is from off youtube: Covering an area of over 2,500 hectares along the 32km long stretch of beach, dunes of brilliant while sand climb up to 40 metres high with slopes up to 60 degrees. The unvegetated wind blown sand dunes of Stockton Bight comprise the largest sand mass in mainland Eastern Australia. The dune mass moves landward at a rate of up to 10 metres per year. really nice picture of my dad that my mum took while on board the 4 wheel-drive..dang i want something like this too.. so we thought the 4WD was going to be really scary and bumpy but it wasn't. so we thought the sand dunes wouldn't be scary as well. but when we reached there..gosh! the slopes of the sand dune was sooo steep..i would have to stand really at the edge to see the bottom..here's the view about 1metre away from the edge. you can see bernice just pushed off from the top of the dune.. so i was just hesitating and all coz it looked really steep. and onboard the bus, the guide said that no matter what you did, your arms had to be behind you coz many people had their arms popped out of their arm sockets because they put their arms in front to break their fall. then along came the same guide who dragged me to the edge of the dune, placed me on the board... and he said 'are you ready but it doesn't matter coz off you go!' and he pushed me off!! well it just felt like one huge slide! and at the end you're engulfed in wisps of sand! fun! bernice went after me and she had this really hot guy! unfair! anyways it turned out that going down was the easy part..the climbing up the sand dune was sooo tiring! and the sand was really really fine so i kept just sinking into it and slipping backward..had to dig the board really deeply into the sand and used it as a climbing aid. here's us on our second round! and all of us at the bottom of the dune...wheee! at the end of our sand boarding experience..tired and burnt but had soo much fun! we went only twice anyways..the climbing up was soo tiring. this guy in our group went 5 times. good luck to him climbing up huh..but he's a marathoner so good on him! we boarded the 4WD to head to the beach and took plenty loads of jump shots but none were good. still it was fun to laugh at all the failed attempts. family shot! then we headed off to the port for lunch on board this ship and some dolphin-watching... trying to get the wind-whipped hair look..ahahaha... and we sighted them dolphins!! on the way back to sydney, i saw this shop that had this really cute banner! we were back really early so headed out to shop. went to myers the departmental store where they had really really nice displays.. and my heart leaped with joy when i saw that they were having a 50% sale! then it dipped again when i saw that all their clothings had tags with 3 digits prices. wanted to get this pair of gladiators but thank god i didn't! more pretty displays. but i think this was in another departmental store. we were only visiting departmental stores coz all the other stores were closed. so we set off looking for darling harbour. coz it seems like it had a good night scene from all the guidebooks. we passed queen victoria building. which was a really old train station transformed into a shopping mall. and it looked really quaint and awesome. they had this huge xmas tree that reached the top of the building. but from the first story we could only see the base of it and we couldn't go to the higher floors coz it was blocked by security. this is an actual shop. it's a shoe polishing place! then we saw this church with light decor on it! the light decorations changed every few minutes.. then we discovered to our huge horror of walking around for ages that we were heading back to our hotel instead of darling harbour! and we were really hungry by then so we wanted to settle for hungry jacks for dinner when my mum insisted that she wanted to eat a proper aussie meal. it was really late by then so all the pubs had stopped their dinners and were only serving drinks. until we found this place that was really like hard rock cafe. so we settled down there. until the kitchen staff told us that we had 3 minutes 'til the kitchen was closed! we were really annoyed and irritated coz we were walking around sydney lost and hungry. my mum took pictures of everyone huddling around their food and they looked really grumpy haha so no posting those pictures up! but here's me with my steak which was really alright only. and when we were really tired and thought we were heading back to the hotel, we passed this ice cream shop and tried some weird flavours we wanted to try on the first day which we didn't. think it was italian cookies and cream and pistachio. and yes i gained weight from aussie..but hyped up from comfort food. my mum suggested we take a taxi to the casino! and i didn't see the sign at the entrance saying no photography allowed so i was sneaking shots of the place even though my sis warned me not to. my dad and his first love..haha jackpot machines.. the casino is a scary place that seemed really like an alternate wonderland. coz people got dressed up to the nines to enter. and the thought of making a windfall there just makes the place seemed out of the world. wow like some of the tables had minimum bets of $100. and the players would just throw thousands of dollars at the dealers to exchange for chips. and the way the dealers count the money out on the table with their magician-like hands were amazing to look at. so here's us leaving the casino..and the picture is super blurry coz at this instant i saw the sign my sister was talking about. and i saw the bouncers at the entrance! so i was fumbling around to hide my cam! don't wanna lose it the second time... and so we headed back to the hotel after this, really really exhausted. for some reason i couldn't sleep til 3am sydney time. in nepal no matter what, joy would stay up later than me every single night as my room mate. but when i travel with my family, i'm always the last one up. and we had to be up by 6am the next day but i. just. couldn't. sleep. )): so as i was staring at the telly and surfing through channels. i found Whose Line!! wheee..haha had a few laughs and slept like a log after that... exhausted
![]() have been working these days and hence the lack of posts..well it's my sis' turn to take over so i'll be free 'til friday! which means lots of sleep and mooching around. just what i like to do. work has been great coz the people are now starting to smile at me haha even the super chow bin ones. headed down to kino to get my harry potter books coz they're having a storewide 20% discount. but dang everytime i go there, it's always sold out! what i want to get is the american covers coz they're so much better-looking. have been waiting forever to buy them but i decided to not wait any longer when i saw that the hard-cover version of the last book was going for 10 bucks! ![]() and since i didn't want to forget all my french especially the hard work i put into learning it. i bought myself a paddington book in french! figured that i might as well get something i'd like looking at while trying to figure out all the stuff i've forgotten. and i really like the illustrations of paddington bear. not too childish yet not too serious. okays more blogging tmr i guess..have to organise my life. it's the end of 2008 y'all!! time to make resolutions and end all hanging threads!merry xmas!!!

Day DEUX of sydney! at last..no more chinese food..i wore my cardigan and jacket to breakfast because it was simply too cold in the morning..whatever happened to summertime? we had remaining time after brekkie before boarding the tour bus. so we returned to our rooms and had some fun with the self-timer (: and off we go on the bus at 8am..slept awhile on the bus until we hit the first toilet stop. and i saw this contraption at the back of the door of the cubicle. some syringe disposal thing..wow whee..it isn't illegal to shoot up in aussie... and look what i found at the cafe near the toilet stop..my favourite Weis!!! the macadamia was good! and soon we were at the first activity of the day! some vineyard/wine making place with lots of wine barrels! so our entire tour group sat around this demo place and tasted a dozen different types of wines..ooh dessert wines are the best! they're soo sweet... funny labels on the wine bottles..there were others that said OLD TART TURNS 50... here's me flushing from all the wine we tried! ugh! some vintage-looking truck out in the vineyards! lunch was at some pub opened in the day so i guess it'll be called a bistro! we had fish and chips! mmm.. and brownie and fresh cream after..since it was fresh cream i just dug in coz it tasted wonderful! gained a little more bye-bye arms coz of that! next stop was hunter valley gardenss...and summer finally arrived or something. it was sooo hot and the sun was scorching! but it was a really beautiful place with loads of flowers and blooming greens everywhere. we couldn't really enjoy it much though as it was too freaking hot! lots of xmas decor around the whole place. my sis snapped this while i was waiting for the three of them to get ready so i could help them take a pic! look at the lovely flowers.. we took lots of jump shots around the place. but after this was taken, i was so high on the beautiful views around me and all the adrenaline so i started skipping all around the place..running down the grassy slopes instead of staying on the concrete paths. and somehow i managed to drop the camera. ugh...but my dad and i managed to find it in the end.. but there was no time for the lovely souvenir shop..as i breezed through it to the bus where everyone was waiting, i saw lots of nice humongous garden hats and flowery nice stuff ))): we stopped five minutes away from the gardens at this place selling chocholates. but my family decided to settle down at a cafe nearby for my mum's daily afternoon coffee and more gelato! and i found this mineral water bottle with a funky name. after that it was back to our lodging for the night. some resort...which was soo beautiful i'd prefer it over the hotel. and if you click on this photo, the banner says that it has australia's longest swimming pool. basically it's a pool that encircles the whole resort. we took a dip in it in the evening and we took forever to go just one round. i can't swim without goggles though )): i rem telling my sis to warn me if i was heading towards the wall because i decided to swim with my eyes closed. the next thing i knew i swam into the wall and came up to lots of laughter from my family ))): but one thing about being away from the city was that there was nothing to do at night!! so we headed to the smaller heated swimming pool to see how warm it was. it wasn't. so my sis and i invaded the gym to play around with their treadmill and stairclimber. and i found it so adorable that my parents decided to just sit on one of the benches and read the papers. so we headed back to our rooms to play more with the self-timer! it takes 5 shots everytime so we could have a short pictorial...haha... here's me playing our mum and bernice playing our dad... momo: why are you always sleeping! momo: i'm gonna wake you up! muffin: *spider-sense* momo: punch you!! muffin: peace peace! i found this furry brown blanket in the cabinets..gonna get one next time!! then i'll blast the aircon and hide under it! then we found some fake apples....and bernice started juggling it towards the end... trying to look the part of a old granny... and that's it for day 2! i ♥ syd (day 1)
okay it's time to blog about the trip to sydney before i get all lazy-bummy..so first thoughts of heading to sydney was that it's a city place just like singapore i wasn't that excited. sure it didn't get me all gawky-eyed and gape-mouthed like exotic japan and nepal. but it turned out to be quite good fun and awesome shopping. headed out to the airport on day -1 evening for our flight to sydney..yay family pic! shout-out to mel and titus: THE YKK ZIP AD!! some mickey mouse thing going on in the airport. this was after check-in. the sign above the swing says 'weight limit 100kg'. well we were a few kilos short of the limit but i was so sure it wasn't gonna support me and my sis! jumped right up the moment my mum finished taking this photo. so as usual we were busy shopping around in duty-free when suddenly my sis spied the tv screens showing the flight info stuff and beside our flight number it kept flashing in red GATES CLOSING. omg mad rush to the boarding gates! and here's the main reason for our holiday destination. AIRBUS A380. haha...according to my mum that is. since she booked the trip so suddenly. it looks nicer in the photo than it was anyways. economy was still pretty squeezy but the krisworld screen was huge! i like! here's testing out our new family cam. well the old panasonic died just on the last day of the trip. i'm horribly sad coz that cam took nice pictures! and there's ice cream for dessert! i couldn't sleep the entire night! slept a miserable 20mins before the lights pinged on and i just couldn't get back to sleep. here's when me and my mum were exploring the plane. went up to the deck on the second floor! ooh and i took off my sandals and padded around the plane in the socks provided. so much more snuggy and comfy..only thing to watch out for is wet toilet floors! so since i couldn't get back to sleep with the lights on. i went to the toilet to put on sunblock and makeup. thing was there was a super long queue so i didn't want to let ppl who really wanted to pee wait forever. so i did it right outside the toilet where there was a small mirror. this australian guy later came up to my seat, tapped me on the shoulder, shook my hand and said, 'i watched your little beauty routine going on back there..welcome to australia!' haha..wanted to just disappear beneath my seat or something. awhile later this steward came up to the row my family was sitting and gave me this! omgoodness a birthday cake!! haha coz we flew on my birthday! so sweet of them! okay please don't mind the eyebags. 20 mins of sleep only rem!? well it was some mousse cake thing and we couldn't finish it. and as you know no food items are allowed into australia. so i had to bin it.... our first step out of the airport had me thinking. why is summer still sooo cold??!! the sun was shining and all, but it was still cold, especially when there was wind! first stop was bondi beach. we're all grabbing our skirts here because the wind was so strong! it kept whipping sand against our legs..damm painful! and hugest waves i've ever seen. but according to the driver, it was just nice-sized waves. the sand was lovely. very soft and very fine. and can i just say that i'm the queen of adverse reactions. look what NSAID patches did to my feet. i think i was allergic to the adhesive and the skin turned very very red and it itched like sooo much! bikini and beach hunk alert! we were wearing jackets and all. but looked what the aussies were wearing. in front of the beach patrol place. spy the nepal hats... my eyes are closed! and i'm rummaging in my bag for my manual black&white cam. but the bridge still looks really quaint and nice! oh and i haven't finished the film gosh........ here's naomi watts house near the beach! really really see-through for a movie star.. our compulsory bus picture. this actually accompanies pictures of the parents sleeping. but my laptop is going to be confiscated and the internet service cut off for good if i post those up. next up was the sydney aquarium at darling harbour. bernice! spot the metro guy! haha there was this younger super metrosexual guy in our tourgroup. the entrance real alligator or croc.. yay dragon seahorse swimming to look at me...haha.. my favourites...the darling happy feets... and the luminiscent jellyfish...i could stare at them for hours.. next up was the sharks! we had to go through this tunnel in the middle of their tank. there were soo many sharks! i was fiddling with my cam and accidentally turned the flash on. and i ended up with this horrifying picture. euyew just look at those teeth... and then the floors became glass-lined too. was a pretty weird feeling. having them little fishies swimming beneath you... finally! some touch pool thing... i touched a tiny blue one! it felt like rock.... and then the bus whisked us off to chinatown for lunch. i keep closing my eyes ugh! have no idea why there's always chinese food. who goes to another country to have chinese food! lunching with strangers at a round table is always awkward the first time. but this was broken by this old man who was part of a couple. he poured tea for all of us. and when i thanked him. he said, 'don't tell me thank you...pay me $50!' wth!!! haha..funny old man.. after lunch we got whisked to the sydney tower..have no idea how high this thing is coz i was dozing off like any in the bus.. we had to take a lift to the top floor to see aerial views of sydney. it was similar to the one we went back in japan at the sunshine city. so bernice and i walked one round and just sat at the window edge coz we were dozing off everywhere. yay same sandals..the studs on mine are dropping off like any... here's the lift that brought us to the top. we then descended to take some 3D motion ride called oztrek. bernice said the aussie gals beside her were screaming. we just kept on dozing... then it was out into the sunshine to explore the departmental store nearby...it had wonderful window displays. just like those at harrods in london.. and what it looked like indoors..pretty much your average departmental store... there were two departmental stores down in george st, the orchard rd of sydney. there was David Jones and MYERS. bee at the versace store then we were brought to macquarie's quay... where sir macquarie was sent over to aussie to be in charge of a prison here. his wife missed home so much, she sat by the quay to look on yonder so sir macquarie ordered a chair to be carved out of the soft rocks for his wife. was expecting some wonder like taj mahal...but instead here it is..we weren't even sure whether we got the right chair. and then it was across the harbour to sydney opera house. did you know that the roof of the opera house isn't all smooth. there were patterns when you went closer... went back to chinatown for dinner and had something like 30mins to shop at the factory outlet stores there.. and at last they decided to let us back to the hotel after our dinner. the hotel room looked pretty nice! here's us exhausted and weary... view from our room. at 7plus in the evening, the sun's still going strong... we took a walk around the neighbourhood. there was a hungry jack's whose menu looked like BK's. their logo looks even more suspiciously like burger king's.... and here in singapore..we call macdonalds Macs..while in aussie it's known as Maccas. and this outlet had chandaliers in their restaurant. we settled for some gelato ice cream... and on a different route back to the hotel, we discovered a supermarket! wheee! bought some aussie titbits and headed back for much needed rest.. think i just breezed through the last part coz my eyes are hardly opened now.. i didn't know blogging took so much effort...okay night! back to work

![]() my sis and i have came up with the perfect work arrangement! (well in my opinion..i hope it's mutual though.) she works the mornings and i work the afternoons! well this way i can sleep late, do my own stuff at night, go out with friends at night and most imptly not wake up early. likewise she can work and be in the city to meet her friends in the afternoon! and we can gossip bout people in the office at night! haha..happiness and blissss... was supposed to accomplish soo much at home today. was supposed to pack my trip stuff, blog about the trip and sew a skirt! but was awakened by a phone call at around noon asking me to head down to work. thing is this company sort of block my sis and mine schedule months before. to cover their receptionist while she's on leave. and at the start of the month, my job agent called to say that it's cancelled. blurgh..turns out that it's some relative of the receptionist who we got cancelled for! urgh..the Ms! well she bailed on them today heh... headed down to greg's after work for a jog. alex came later to gym. i still find it a huge mystery why guys gym. the things they do seemed pretty hilarious to me. haha. didn't know we were going for supper so i didn't tell my mum to not cook my share. so she was pretty angry i guess. insisting that i've to finish up the leftovers or bin it at my own conscience. )): was feeling a little uneasy until she sent me a msg saying, "dont let the lizard invade the table" haha soooo cute! and simpang is still the best place in the east for prata ((: murtabak seems even nicer than tampines' one..hear that carmieee? okay i seem to be nodding off now and i'm still in my stinky jogging clothes.... saturday was spent at ben & jerry's chunk fest with my sis, andrea and car. my sis and i were supposed to attend our job agent's wedding lunch reception all the way at teck whye, which would put it somewhere in chuo chu kang. the long train journey there made us groan and groan. that is until our mum offered us the solution of taking some tibs bus there. the thing is we boarded the wrong service. well it would have brought us to chuo chu kang....but not 'til 3 hours later. i actually had time to take a nice snooze! woke up and found ourselves at freaking newton and the lunch was ending in 30mins! we were definitely not gonna make it. got down and the bus services notice board informed us that we were only halfway there. omgoodness..do not ever take bus 67 to chuo chu kang from tampines. there are like 60 stops or something! so we aborted our trip to the far northwestern regions of singapore to head to fort canning for the chunk fest. unfortunately, it rained soo heavily the moment we reached there. so we headed to some sheltered area and took pictures while waiting for the rain to stop (: while waiting for andrea and car, we queued 2 hours for ice cream in the mud! and i was wearing shoes argh! and i just cleaned my shoes the day before because i stepped in some construction muddy area as well! and the best thing...we had to pay for the ice cream..it was 11 bucks for 3 scoops. we could have done the same thing at a ben & jerry's outlet and even sit down. graaah all for 6 new unreleased flavours from usa. so here's us with all the hippie funky signboards placed all around the place. ![]() and here's some peace signs that were made of foam. they were released every few minutes or so... we did some shopping around town then settled down at fish & co. for their fish & chips around the world! bernice had new york fish chipies which had cheese stuffing in the fish while car had philadelphia fish chipies which naturally had philadelphia cheese stuffing in it. andrea's was italian fish chippies which had tomato stuffing and mine was named fubuya fish chippies. it was the most horrible one out of the bunch because it tasted like miso soup! guess fubuya meant that it was japanese...well they pretty much looked the same anyways. ![]() and here's andrea looking cute while sulking haha..coz all of our dishes came save for hers.. and i'm glad bernice has caught on to my fish & co. craving (((: haha..more soon! **** have been cracking my head over what i did on friday. and it was this job i had over at orchard hotel with joy! we had to register people for some talk and collect money for their drinks coupon. well one of the original workstaff couldn't make it. so my job agent suggested asking my sis since bernice's worked for her before. so she came down to meet me during orchard. here's her and ugly chicken pie from starbucks. her shift only started at 5pm while i'd to help out with extra stuff since 9.30 in the morning. so here's me looking disgruntled and crappy coz i had less than 3 hours of sleep and super achy arms from wii the night before ): owells but i had a lovely christmas buffet lunch with turkey, lamb, prawns, chicken and the list go on. was soo stuffed! joy joined us that night. and there was more food! i especially love the christmas pie which consisted of minced fruit stuffing. yummersss! grinning from ear to ear

![]() j'aime beaucoup mes trois nouveaux chaussures! voir! elles sont très jolies! okay my shoe crave during the exam period is so so satisfied. there're three pairs of new shoes sitting in my living room! would scream yata and scare everyone around me if i could (: anyways they are all from this brand called schu. and they are having storewide crazy discounts so do go on down before your size disappears! realised i haven't been blogging much these days. but i will soon! waiting for pictures and have tons of pictures to post as well. the visit to the ship was good. there were many pullouts at the last minute. ): so there were only four of us left in the end and..we all wore red coincidentally. all of us headed back to greg's afterwards for wii. ((((: omg i suck so much at it but still it's fun! haha.. and spent ydae with car, andrea and my sis. today with my family. and i'm bushed now from all the walking. too bushed to blog properly even. so i'm gonna retire to bed with greys and bitbit who's in a very bad mood coz my family came home waaay past her mealtime. she's been staying put in her cage all night long ): i'm feeling super depressed everytime i think of sending her away to the bunnysitter's soon. i'm gonna miss my little bit a whole load. ahoy ahoy i'm going on a sailing ship!

![]() j'irai à bord du navire à voile et je suis très enthousiaste mais il fait pleut maintenant s'il vous plaît, cher ciel ne faisez plus pleut! today's a happy day because i'm going aboard a ship to looksee! titus' bringing the class on board this huge ship that he once worked for two months after ns. the ship our class teasingly calls a cruise. hah. the ship's docking in singapore for a few days so he's getting his shipmate buddy to bring us around the ship. thing is it's raining now..please rain stop later in the evening! and the guys are heading to watch a movie first. i'm gonna join them later coz i'm gonna accompany my sis to the nearby isetan for her makeover. turns out that my mum took leave as well to do the same as well! owells maybe i can pick up a few tips from the makeup artist ((: and my arms were aching soo much last night i couldn't sleep! tossed around for an hour and a half before i got up in frustration to pop a paracet pill. read a magazine for awhile and slept as soundly as a log 'til 11am today. okay i managed to pack the living and dining room yesterday. it feels nice to wake up to a clean and empty dining table! ((: please lim family..keep it this way for a little longer! have an hour more before heading out with my sis. gonna go start a little tidying on my room! oh my arms!
![]() so i didn't managed to get up early. woke up at noon, went online, took a nice nap, went online and decided to heave my lazy bum out of the house to the pool. wanted to swim forty lengths coz it was a rather small pool..bout half the size of an olympic pool? but after i hit forty, i guess the lack of endorphins for the last two weeks and the sudden rush of them just made me go and go and go. think i covered 70 lengths in the end. only stopped coz the skies started to turn really dark and i found out that i'm the only one left in the pool. and now that the endorphins are gone, i just feel real crappy )): my arms are aching like any and plans to pack the room are as good as gone coz i can't lift my arms. sigh all the things i've heard bout a 'nice achey/so worth it' pain after a good workout doesn't seem to apply to me. what i feel is a dull consistent pain. oh and i have a really oily face that's threatening to breakout any moment. and my hair feels like hay even though i conditioned it. guess chlorinated water doesn't go well with me. okay it's only 1am but i'm gonna head to bed otherwise i'll just keep whining... day out with mum & sis

spent the day out with my mum and sis around town. had to settle my sis' prom shoes and indulge in a little food. the hols are starting to pass a little too fast for my liking ): tomorrow's technically my last day to stay home and settle organising my room. it's getting horrendously messier by the day. and i've just changed my bedsheets over the weekend. and bitbit had to diarrhoea all over it yesterday graah. a little too lazy to change it again. ): yay yay matchy matchy linen skirts and slipons after orchard we headed to novena for a little dimsum buffet. zhou's kitchen once again! and it was guuuuud! i didn't have my fill. but we went a little late so last order came around pretty soon. no more fried wanton or something so they replaced it with FRIED FISH SKIN without consulting us. turns out to be a blessing in disguise. coz these are seriously some good stuff! wouldn't have prod it with a chopstick if i saw it on the menu. oh gosh..they were fried to a crisp. the texture tasted exactly like potato chips! more yummies and these jelly pork thingies with jelly fish tasted waaay better than they looked or sounded. my mum's office has relocated from shenton way to novena. no more nice food from the nearby hawker centres. but apparently she's surrounded by three shopping centres now. she found this quaint japanese bakery that sells the best chocholate chips bread. it's really really soft and it has like all these melted chocholate in it. and the best part? it's only $2.50. and i bought this plaid cotton dress the other day. can't make up my mind whether to hem it shorter. but its charm is in the length! tacked it up and took some pictures but i still can't come to a decision. owells...maybe not... ![]() anyways i'm feeling like a cow now from the buffet. thinking of heading down to changi to swim in the morning tomorrow. the only problem now is whether i can wake up! and i hope i do. have only the afternoon to finish packing my place! and i've a few more sewing projects to do! have to head down to chinatown or spotlight to get materials soon! ugh there really isn't enough time this holiday. home improvements

![]() was supposed to head down to ikea yesterday but got too lazy and comfortable at home so i surfed the ikea webbie instead. found the few things i needed and more. really love going to ikea..i'm not sure if it's the smell there or the possibility of having chicken wings or meatballs. ((: anyways here are the items i'm looking for. kinda stuff that i don't actually need but have wanted for a long time. have been racking my brains over whether i should actually fork out money for these. well i'll see how much i spend these days at shopping. and if i don't spend much, it's down to ikea to grab these lovelies! haha.. saw this in a changing room the other day. coz it was christmas they tied a red plaid ribbon around it and it looked sooo good! i'm gonna do the same and put my worn clothes in it! ![]() and something i've always wanted, a black photo frame to put this nice print i bought. but it's a good 30 bucks so i've put this on my wanted list for four years now ))): ![]() and last of all, i spied this while browsing through the ikea site. their new paper box! the prints are soo quirky and nice! shall head down to ikea nxt week to see how these look!okay my mum took leave to bring my sis and i out today. so yay to a good lunch and shopping time with family! happy tuesday everybody! operation -skinny jeans-

![]() j'ai fait un projet de couture hier while re-organising my room (which is turning out to be a nightmare btw, the more i pack the messier it becomes), i found a pair of jeans which used to be my favourite pair back in secondary school. and that saved it from being bin-ed for years. but horrors of horrors, it flared out near the ankles. well the label says it's bootcut..but it looks more like bell bottoms to me!c'était amusant! j'ai retouché mon jean. il est plus à la mode maintenant! so OPERATION SKINNY JEANS was born! took measurements first of all, i had fun drawing on my jeans with my pen.. okay so after the first snip, there was no turning back! BEFORE yes i warned you earlier, it's super flared! don't cringe! AFTER yay much better..say hi to bitbit who feels neglected on my bed and the primary reason why this pair was worked on?? THE BEAUTIFUL STUDS DOWN THE SIDE!! okay i'm left with the cuffs to be hemmed..super lazy so i just tacked it and headed to bed! anyways my internet is a little wonky these days. i'm not sure whether it's the modem or my laptop. but it's probably my laptop coz my sis says wifi works on her phone. DAMM! got to bring it down to sony centre again. i hope it's not coz of some settings again. i'm such a technophobe! okay to-dos today are to hem the jean cuffs, bathe bitbit, wash her cage and continue working on my room argh!
