my birthday! twas was quite a terrible start to the 19th year of my life...

was furious with my sister! had so much frustrations within myself...

AND! i had to work..omg..for the first time of my entire life..i had to work on my birthday!

my birthday always occured during the school hols..so i guess this was the birthday that i woke up the earliest!! 7am for the record...

for lunch i decided to do something more special since it was my birthday! and trekked to raffles place for lunch...

view was quite good..the buildings all around were damn magnificent..sometimes you just have to slow down in life to appreciate your surroundings...


had subway for lunch!


quite messy to eat while walking at the same time..had honey mustard dripping everywhere! haa...

i walked past lao pat sat!

finally!! haa..familiar sights of raffles place..you gotta recognise this!


AND something special happened in office!

DHL sent three mini christmas trees to my office!

one of them! damn cute..they had all these DHL ornaments!


it was raining earlier in the day but it fortunately stopped! even the sun came out! i love it when the sun comes out after the rain..everything just seems so nice and pleasant as if all troubles weren't there anymore..

in this picture..you could just see the sun peeping out at you from behind the buildings! yes..the building is IP..

plan was to make our way to this restaurant at esplanade for my birthday family dinner..

and then i decided to put my photography skills into practice!

the following photos i took were really really nice! beautiful scenary! made me feel as if i were overseas..well..do you guys only appreciate the scenary only when you're overseas? well..i do! so for the first time..the waterfront at esplanade looked really really beautiful to me...


haa..look at this photo! bet ms ong (my arts teacher in secondary school) would be proud of me! look at the composition..part of the sky..part of the sea..taken behind some structure that makes you wonder what it is...

my mum and i headed to the restaurant to wait for my sis and dad to arrive..

NO SIGNBOARD SEAFOOD RESTAURANT!!

haa...what a funny name! the food there isn't nice!! and it's expensive!! euyew! but service is good! haa..doesn't make up for the bad food though..bleah..we had chili crabs, fried baby squids, sweet & sour pork, sambal kangkong and some toufu thingy...all not nice!


nice ambience though...snapping pictures while waiting for my sis and dad..they were so late noe! then thay blamed it on the traffic jam! -___-


tried to take some unsucessful 4 people frames..haiyo..my phone just cannot fit more than three people in! they all turned out super blur..due to the fact that i was bellowing and shaking from all the laughter! haa...really weird seeing four people squeezing just to get a nice photo...


finally..we convinced ourself that we had to get someone to take the photos...


my father was rather happy with the photo he took (see the one w/o him)..boasting that see! what a nice picture he took..

i took one look at the picture and burst out laughing! his 'nice' picture had his BIG finger in it too! whaha!

wheezing past fullerton hotel! that hotel is one helluva luxurious accomadation manz! i wanna stay in there!!!


went home to cut cake! my unique cake!! haa....


it's made from the only cake i like (green-tea cake..oh the other type i like is cheese-cake! all other types are a no-no) and two flavours of haagen daaz ice cream - rassberry sorbet and strawberry cheesecake!

and it's not the normal size..it's a quart sized tub instead of the usual pint size! heeps!

gosh! i looked terrible! what a fake smile! i was super depressed at that time cause i had to work and couldn't go for the opening of the mng sale the next day..i gave specific instructions to my mum to get me this nice bag i've been wanting! then she started nagging on how i wanted everything..

and then! my sis joined in and said..'yeah! you've so many bags already!'

so i just sulked the rest of the day away..

oh yar! bernice lim! for your info..you're are permanantly using TWO of my 'so many' bags! hrmp!

the most documents and parcels i've sent out during work!


today also was the start of the long-awaited MNG SALE!


i was quite worried when sher messaged me in the morning telling me she just blew a hefty $200 during the sale and it wasn't even 12 noon yet! worried that i was missing out on lots of stuff! haa...

total pandemonium!! haa..for you guys who haven't been to the behind-the-scenes part of the sales! i've got pictures of the craziness!


just look at all the clothes strewn everywhere! and the throngs of people! don't get me started..i'm so going to reserve stuff next sale! rather than squeeze with all of them..and the queues are outrageous!

tj fiesta concert..haa..i miss playing in a band! i must make sure that i'll get into alumni next year! shijia..i'll go with you kay?

twas was the day of puaysian celebrating my birthday for me!

it was a two-part events day...

in the morning, he woke up bright and early and met me at my void deck to go CYCLING!!!



we cycled all the way to safra changi chalets in one hour and back to marine cove! my legs were aching terribly! ouch! my legs were damn wobbly after we returned the bikes..we headed to macs and downed two huge ice lemon teas! but it was a good exercise after like how long? i don't really know..i haven't exercised for maybe 2? 3? months...

i LURVE cycling..i've never been on those two-seater bikes..i wanted puaysian to cycle me on one of those with me sitting at the back! but it was a whole lot slower than the normal bikes so i thought drat! we'll just go on the normal bikes and we managed to cover a whole lot of distance that one hour! blading anyone?!?!

haven't cycled for some time..i've a huge phobia of people coming too close to me when i'm on the bike..i'd just scream! so stay away! haa..puaysian kept coming so near me with his bike! rarrr!!

we went home to wash up before meeting again to have dinner at THE GLASS HOUSE..

yeah...you're right! fish & co.!!!

it was full house..and we had to wait outside for people to clear out...

so..it was photo-taking time!!!

our food! haa..nothing unusual..just seafood platter for two! i like the rice and the calamari!! yummy..i don't really like mussels! haa...and this is the only time i'd eat prawns cause the sauce thy use for the prawns are so so yummy!! and i like their passion fruit drink thingy!!

and there was a live performance in there..the singer was G-O-O-D!! haa..and i love the songs he played..it's like i enjoyed listening to everyone of them..even better than the singer who was there the last time i went with my section...


and then it was time for my birthday prezzie!! yay! he was bringing me to topshop to get whatever i wanted!! i like!!!


okay..i've to admit that the above photo was taken during the autumn sales..

the night we went..there was late night shopping and everything was at 20% off!! haa..

in the fitting room!


i ended up buying this satin corset top and a puffball skirt..guess what! both were black!!!

all the clothes i bought are black! most of the clothes i bought from the MNG sale were black too!! haa..my wardrobe is now almost totally black!

i've no idea whether i'm eventually going to wear it or not..but it's VERY nice! my sis says it's too elaborate to wear on a normal day out to town..hmm..i dunno! but it's really very nice and i like it alot alot! *screams*

it has ribbings running along the length of it like all corsets do..and you can see the clips to be done up at the back!

the other thing i bought was a black puffball skirt..


i like the fact that topshop gives their clothes names..moreover the names totally fit the clothing they are named after...

this skirt is made of some kind of material that is rather heavy..but the piece i bought seemed like it just came out from the box it was packed in and i'm still getting it to puff up!

AND...because it was christmas..TOPSHOP gave away a $10 gift card! haa..


and..i bought their bags! 3 for one buck! haa..they're so cute! comes in three sizes..i can just hear them singing out do-re-mi!!!!


was a totally fun and enjoyable day out! being pampered and having good food and what not! thanks babe!!

was supposed to meet puaysian because it was offiially my first day of my real hols! but i was really lazy to make my butt out of the house so i lazed in bed until 3pm when my mother came home..

i was like surprised!! haa..she took leave and didn't tell us..

she suggested going swimming! so off we went! me, my sis and my mum...


really nice pool by the sea...but the water was SO SO cold!! brrrr....

haa..as usual..i swam at most 5 laps..the rest of the time was spent fooling around and enjoying being blown away by the jacuzzi...

there was this ah gong teaching his grandson how to swim! haa..damn cute to watch them..the grandson could only be 3 years old the most! he kept hiding his head under water when the grandpa was teaching him..

when the grandpa turned around to see why his grandson wasn't answering..he saw that his grandson wasn't listening to him at all and had to repeat all over again! haa...

and the pool was deepest at 1.5m...

haa..so i realised that i could actually walk under the water surface..when i needed to breathe i just had to jump a little and take in air and continue to walk the whole length of the pool!

after swimming, we went to changi market to eat..yummy wanton mee! haa...

and to round off this entry..here's the loot i bought from the MNG sale...especially arranged for sher! haa...honoured not?

doesn't this get you excited??! whee! these are all the stuff i got..actually i only bought 8 pieces of clothing..haa..not as many as you see!


can you see that again! they're all black or towards the darker side of the colour chart??!

haa..that means that my wardrobe for 2006 will mostly consist of black pieces!!

and i lurve the tag they used for the fall season clothes...

next..BLACK mango pants? jeans? i don't really know..the material feels like denim but people have been telling me it's pants and not jeans..


bought it cause of the embossed pattern they sewed onto the butt pocket of the pants..but while i was photographing this pants just now, i discovered that it's button is also very nice! haa..call me a sucker for little details..i also like their price tag! haa...

next up..a BLACK sweater with a oh-so-adorable hood!


the neckline is slashed really low..but the material of this sweater is so so comfy! gosh! i could just imagine snuggling into it on a cold rainy day!

and then..a BLACK sleeveless top..


see the rose pattern printed at the back of the top? it's actually cause the neckline and sleeve edge of this top are sewn so that it imitates the pattern of the rose petals!

okay..finally! something not black..a grey patterned tee!


this was bought for me by my mum when i was at work..really love the two roses on the right sleeve of this tee..

next..something grey too!


this was the top bought by my sis for my birthday! this was the first piece of mango's fall collection that caught my eye..

really like the lace details at the front..and how they make the material gather at the lace pattern...

a dark green camisole....


was attracted to this piece by the colour..really nice shade of green..and i like the cutting of this camisole..not too tight!

a BLACK (yes black again) top..


i'm sharing this with my sis..found out that the velvety design actually has a skull on it! you will see it if you look really closely..

like this piece cause of the cut they made at the sleeve area....kewl!

and finally!! my BLACK new mango bag!


although it's not real leather..it feels like really soft leather..

i like the zip details and the gigantic silver buckle on its handles...

inside the lining of the bag also caught my eye..thousands of mng staring back at you...


i have a fetish for bags with nice lining..saw this bag at topshop that i really like and it's only cause of the lining..

guess it's cause it's like more personal..only i can see the beautiful inner lining while everyone else just see the outer surface..it's like the bag and i have a shared secret..haa!

yeap..so that's it! my blog has finally caught on with my life! what an interesting week it has been!

going for my class christmas party tmrw! so more pictures coming up..

right now..i've to pack my place..it looks as if a hurricane just ran through it! argh!
