met up with the percussion gals on a lazy saturday afternoon to celebrate andrea's birthday at this vegetarian place in joo chiat. it's a nice cozy place that sits not more than 20 diners at a pop.

so after we ordered, we were presented with a mortar of mixed sesame seeds and a pestle.


so according to the story on the chalk board proclaiming the 'BLESSING OF THE SESAME SEEDS', each grind is supposed to send showers of blessing or something along that line.


having a go at it! was trying to practice my close mouth smile since i still couldn't open my mouth too widely! fail lae..


our food which was not bad, tried a bit of everything, they had quirky names like cheeky monkey - monkeyhead mushroom with oats, oliver twist - brown rice with olives. i especially liked the penang rendang.

then we hopped over to Everything with Fries, which was on the same block as Naive since we simply had to have our nutella tart once again!


we tried something new as well. mille crepe. mille means a thousand in french, so i take it that it means it was a thousand layers of crepe. (:


so we split after our meal. andrea and i made our way down to haji lane for some shopping and ice cream!


and i knew that Carla Bruni was a singer, but i thought she was just a pretty face, being the french president's partner, a model and all. but she can really sing! lovee her songs..they're on repeat over and over again on my laptop while i try to finish what's left of pre-reg. DARN LEARNING LOG, I DETEST YOU SOOO MUCH!





all i did was flop around at kickboxing classes and had porridge at 85market..

and now all i wanna do is lie flat and not move.

on the other hand, swelling's down a whole lot more today ((:

so i had my wisdom teeth extracted today..all four of them!

so wasn't prepared when i went to the dentist in the morning, but there was a cancellation and there was an open slot the same afternoon so might as well! before i got all scared and start frightening myself as usual.

had BK's mushroom swiss for lunch..last solid meal in a long time..gotta have something better. then i had to change into the blue op gowns. where's my pink gown!!

had to change into disposable undies as well. omg so super fugly can. haha and those ah pek brown flip flops.

and because the op was so last min, i was wearing makeup! but they only had me remove my nail polish. so i spent a good 20 minutes in the bathroom doing that. which was good as well. kept me occupied.

while waiting for the op to start, i overheard the nurses checking whether i was really taking out all 4 teeth coz i opted for LA. opted for local anaesthesia because i wanted to know what they were doing to me. and i don't wanna be groggy and pukish. that was when i started freaking out. but they were reassuring, told me yea it's quite rare but there are such cases.

then they led me to the op theatre and strapped me down to the table. omo i didn't know it was gonna be in a op theatre. thought it'd be an outpatient setting. so i freaked out even more. they had this heartbeat monitor attached where i could hear my heart rate. everytime i got more scared, the machine went one semitone higher.

but i guess the most painful part was the injection of the anaesthesia, which really wasn't painful at all. so i guess all in all it wasn't too bad an experience. could feel the pressure of the drills and the blood dripping down my throat. but couldn't taste it nor feel the pain.

oh and before they started the op, they had to swab my neck and mouth area with antiseptic. and i'm really ticklish around my neck. so i started laughing uncontrollably. haha just after the doctor told me not to move abruptly because he was placing instruments on my chest.

but i got a little depressed and upset after the op because my face was super swollen. yea i know vainpot right.

my dad drove me home after, but when i started to talk to him because he kept asking me questions bout the modem, i literally erupted bloody saliva. haha, he kept 5 feet away from me after!

and i know this is sick. but haha couldn't help but take photos. i guess i'm not squirmish bout blood because my nose used to bleed like once a week. even had to pull out long coagulated strands of blood clots heh!

crappers coffee buzz is wearing off. i feel like crap now. time to hit the beds.

love fresh sheets.....i hate bouncing between mood extremities....

slept at 5am last night, woke up 2 hours later for the board exam.

now almost a good 20 hours later, i'm still up and buzzing like any.

all thanks to the iced coffee from starbucks.

i need to sleep! wheeeeeeeeee! see what i mean.....bzzzz......

friday kickboxing classes are becoming a weekly event to look forward to. love love!

made a detour to bliss at punggol park coz it's dear andrea's birthday. more taiwan talk...can't wait for the exams to be over. we're going to universal studios at sentosa to look see ((:

made crispy fried egg with melted cheese and spam fries! that's luncheon meat fries for you..okay diet for taiwan starts from nxt week. xxxl fried chicken daily!

and i have the weirdest dreams? anyways last night i dreamt of this friend, and this morning when i opened up palringo, i find the person said hi. how did that happen!! okay studying makes me ramble bout the weirdest stuff ever...but i dreamt you were a pasta making chef haha!

why is it so fricking hot!!!

but it's only hot when i study..still it feels good to be at home when it's a work day. has been some time since it feels like this. i miss being in school!

today my parents went shopping..without me! damm board exam, will it just end like now!

when my dad came home, i had to dig through their bags of shopping!! love the smell of new clothes!!! wheee!

and i need to get this bag!



the business of bainian-ing is really tiring. the moment i got home, i hit the bed. then on second thoughts, i crawled out to take out my contacts. then i was out like a log til the nxt day at 6pm. well i did wake up for breakfast and lunch. (((:

but i didn't remove my makeup! and now i'm gonna pay dearly for it. loads of pimples on the way!! hopefully the hours of beauty sleep compensates for them!


Dinner was awesome but i feel like this now.....stomach hurts like any!!!

and i think it's because of this! you horrible five chillis rating chicken dish!!!


but it reminds me so much of shanghai's chilli dinner whoo! lurve lurve!

anyhows bee chose this restaurant for her birthday meal and it was such an experience..


we had such an awesome view from the tallest building in sg...


and tea pourers going around with their uber long tea spout kettles..


yummers! it was a szechuan restaurant so we had szechuan dishes which just meant lots of chilli? sea cucumber with more chilli, camphor infused duck, fried soft-shelled crab, black pepper beef steak, and some hor fun!


and though we were all stuffed to the brim, we had to try the beancurd for afters. i mean the restaurant was called sze chuan dou hua restaurant for a reason right


had to walk off our very full tummies after, which resulted in lots of camwhoring ((:






in all sense of the word 'last', unless i'm gonna take up postdocs or a masters. which at this point of time, seems very highly unlikely.

have to buck up coz i think i'm way behind. so if you do see me online, please tell me very nicely to get my butt back to mugging!


the egg benedictine looked soo good. but tasted otherwise.


and they had a huge variety of tea. both loose leafed and sachets. tried the china rose tea leaves..nice!!



they had nice eggy crepes with very rich vanilla sauce as well


back home with bitbit. caramel cheesecake from bakerzin!
