met up with the percussion gals on a lazy saturday afternoon to celebrate andrea's birthday at this vegetarian place in joo chiat. it's a nice cozy place that sits not more than 20 diners at a pop.

so after we ordered, we were presented with a mortar of mixed sesame seeds and a pestle.
so according to the story on the chalk board proclaiming the 'BLESSING OF THE SESAME SEEDS', each grind is supposed to send showers of blessing or something along that line.

our food which was not bad, tried a bit of everything, they had quirky names like cheeky monkey - monkeyhead mushroom with oats, oliver twist - brown rice with olives. i especially liked the penang rendang.

then we hopped over to Everything with Fries, which was on the same block as Naive since we simply had to have our nutella tart once again!
we tried something new as well. mille crepe. mille means a thousand in french, so i take it that it means it was a thousand layers of crepe. (:
so we split after our meal. andrea and i made our way down to haji lane for some shopping and ice cream!
and i knew that Carla Bruni was a singer, but i thought she was just a pretty face, being the french president's partner, a model and all. but she can really sing! lovee her songs..they're on repeat over and over again on my laptop while i try to finish what's left of pre-reg.
