Getting lost would help you find yourself .........................awesome banana egg prata with condensed milk
Wednesday, March 14, 2012

After getting excited about our wonderful accommodations, G and I finally decided it was time to head out to the streets as bangkok was waiting!

First stall we hit sold wanton. I nudged him, 'hey, wanna try?'. 'heck, why not!', taking out 20 baht. And we got ourselves a whole handful of crisp wantons. Realising our last meal was almost 7 hours ago back at mackies sg, the wanton was gone before pictures could be taken.

Next stop where all the nudges began was at this fried chicken place. We stood around clueless as to what the procedure to acquiring some of those drool-inducing chicken was. The guy looked up from deep fryer and passed G a paper bag. G grabbed some tongs and choosing from winglets and drumsticks, we got ourselves these really well marinated chicken, all warm and crisp and juicy, mmm....

So we were actually heading towards the train station, otherwise known as the BTS. On literature, it was a ten minute walk from banyan tree. But here we were, walking for close to half an hour now, mildly inebriated by all the exotic street food, barely noticing the time. Then we saw the track of the BTS bend. 'Hang on, we're walking AWAY from the station.'

Then i spotted the top item on my miscellaneous list to try. Le egg banana prata with condensed milk! And my little heart fluttered in delight. Miscellaneous because they were food items that i chanced on food blogs that were not tagged with any address. So finding them was going to take either a lot of walking or pure luck.

Prata was made fresh on the spot, so here i'll put you through the same waiting torture we had to sit through just to get our prata.

This really awesome thing just hit the right spot. yes you ((:
