and that was how i woke up to find the world on a sunday morning. gentle thunder rumblings with the lightest of rain. wonderful weather for breakfast and the morning papers.
so i discovered a wonderful accompaniment to the fluffy kueh bahlus. honey. and my mum just bought this lovely version of leatherwood honey.
here's how the weekend went. saturday saw my dad dropping my mum off for her trip to malaysia and me for the human nike race. had a banana in the car prior to the run.
the banana on top of the breakfast combi was a little too much and i kept regurgitating the food while running. not good. kept smelling banana. at the end of the race, i was presented with a banana at the finish point. acks! it was promptly abandoned minutes later at a little corner.
came home, cleaned myself up and fell into a deep slumber which felt so good. but it pretty much forecasted the rest of my weekend as well. the run zapped most of my energy so much so that i spent most of saturday and sunday napping.
went to meet bee on saturday night in town because she told me of schu's half-price off promotion.
their lovely birthday decor. if i ever had to plan a birthday party again, i would totally enact this ceiling covered with balloons decor.
bee also showed me this lovely bookstore at ION. they have the most wonderful diaries there. i'm so totally eyeing a couple of the 2010 planners.
and the infamous queue for the jap octopus balls shop was significantly shorter so we had to try it. and it's vunderful! haha..crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. i burned my tongue while being too greedy though.
and bitbit's been a huge fan of our snacking as well. she loves my current comfort food. honey Ohs, which my sis and i are consuming at an alarming rate.
she loves chocolates as well!
and we may not be the wealthiest family around but i love how my mum adds little bits of affordable luxury into our lives. it made my day when i discovered cornflower prints on the toilet paper!
