it's the start of a new week and try as i might to start it all cheery and fresh, i'm usually zombified on mondays. packing was torturous. walking was weary. i was ready to snap at anyone who stepped on my toes. thank god niron and kokwan had each other to irritate.
breakfast at the talk this morning was good though. hey brain can pass your piggy test one. they had this baked potato thing with peppery chicken pie filling topped with a layer of mozarella..soo good. i'm gonna have a go at making it some time.
and i had a go at mixing the different components in a TPN bag on account of my being dainty. hmmmm...
came home late coz we had a tutorial sesh. made sure i put on my running shoes for a run the moment i reached home because i want to fall asleep the moment my head touches my pillow tonight. running is my prozac.
i still can't believe the weekend passed by so quickly. the weekend started early on a friday afternoon when work became chat. met car for our usual tauhuey sesh. this time we had the youtiao, butterfly and red bean hamcheepeng. oily morsels of decadence they are.
went to the east to meet the jc people over beer. drank only sips but i woke up with a head that weighed a ton the nxt day. still, i had to drag myself down to IMH on saturday. then began the packing frenzy.

shanghai oriental pearl tower was a blast. it had this see through glass floor. look ma no hands!
lift buttons showed how high up you were.
went to see how many pearls an oyster had at some decrepid rundown shop
lunch was steamboat. this place allowed you to mix wonderful concoctions of sauces. they had butter sauce, peanut sauce, sesame oil and all the garnishes. i had a mixture of xo sauce, sesame oil and chinese parsley. was vunderful!
went to this fake goods place where we got ripped off by the shop assistants. tuition fees my mum says. didn't take any pictures of the place as we were too excited. but they had all these secret rooms and wardrobes with fake backings. oooh!
went to YuYuan after for some xiao long baos. basically it's a really oriental place tt's too touristy. even starbucks has infiltrated.
Roe soup in your xiao long bao as well. had to sip it through a straw. too frickin hot though..i burnt my tongue!
the remnants. loads of skin. people who like their xlbs thin-skinned wouldn't really like this.
headed back to our hotel area. since the night was still young, we went to Raffles City, a shopping centre just beside our hotel. had singaporean brands like breadtalk there.
bought ice cream mochi which cost like $1.20 each for supper.
