okay..since sucky school's starting soon! i shall get down to clear all the photos and blog bout the remainder of the hols.
on the 27th and 29th of july, i headed down to centennial tower to work for this company Glencore. this company is LOADED. like seriously loaded. they give away iPod nanos as their door gifts during their annual DnD. that's cause they're dealing with oil trading. and anything to do with oil either rakes in lots of money for the company or just brings the company down these few days.
their nice nice office and the lobby that was all mine for the entire day.
i especially love their pantry. they had this vending machine and the price below the drinks all read 'free'. just punch and drink comes out!
the meeting rooms had a nice view of the singapore river too. the receptionist told me that they could see fireworks from up here.
they also had the gates ala the mrt gates. so scary!
a close-up. i was so terrified to be clamped by the gates. SO terrified. it didn't happen though.
centennial towers is a really lovely office building.
they had revolving doors at the entrance.
met up with the pharmacy gals on monday to get presents. had mos burger for lunch. mmm. i'm dreaming of having the fish burger again.
from the 2nd to 7th of august, i was virtually living at the expo.
worked there for the Popular book sale.
first two days were just packing and packing. unloading all the stuff. i was working with may may. we were assigned to the cartoons section. i had overload of powerpuff gals and superman man! i'm gonna puke if anyone shows me any ppg or superman stuff. GOSH! all the printed files, pencil boxes, stationaries, bags, money banks. argh!!!
during lunch, may may and i went over to ite for lunch. i'm so jealous of their campus!!! *squeals* why can't nus be like that? why?
see the round thing on the second storey, it's a food court. so interesting right?
to save time while heading back, may may made me climb the main gates since they were locked. it was the scariest thing i've ever attempted to do. the jumping down from a great height weren't the scary thing. the horrible part was swinging your leg over the super thin gate that you had as your base. i'm never ever going to climb over any more gates. ONCE IS ENOUGH!
found this really cute beany piglet. an affordable $4.50. was going to buy it and eyore already but my mum warned me not to as i had too many soft toys already. boo! it's like so adorable.
they had really nice strawberry shortcake notebooks too. wanted to buy too but i've tons of notebooks at home that are all so nice so cute or so cool.
argh!!! looked so sweaty and icky after moving everything. they cashier's sensor was so south-park like!
during the sale, i was assigned the role of packer. had to pack all the stuff the cashier scanned into plastic bags. there were so many different sizes of plastic bags to choose from. and my cashier scanned the stuff super fast! and i had to constantly double the bags because the stuff people bought were so heavy. i was so stressed!!! will elaborate bout that later. i seriously pity the children of parents who went to the popular sale. parents bought SOOOO MANY assesment books. gosh! students these few days are gonna have no life. the most saleable item: assesment books. they win hands down!
because my cashier was situated at a position where less people frequented, i had to go pack the hall before they closed each night.
i saw this gal begging her mum to let her buy this stitch poster. but her mum kept on saying no. she claimed that stitch's soft toy would give her nightmares! but the small gal kept on insisting that 'Stitch so cute. Muak muak muaK'. yes. she kissed stitch. hmmm.
in the end, her mum got her little mermaid as it matched her bedsheets. haa.
my favourite customers were these 3 girls, their baby brother and their maid. they spent $100 on stickers, stationaries and teenage fiction. they asked me to put everything they bought into the two boxes they bought and then they pushed their little brother away on it after paying.
it was like the most tiring job i've ever completed! spent less time at home than at the expo hall. and i sprained my knee from standing too long and moving too much heavy stuff and squating to get the HUGE plastic bags too many times.
AND i had nightmares after the job! i kept woking up in the middle of night to pack stuff (cuz i was working as a packer at the cashier point). i even folded the quilt very nicely because i thought it was the plastic bags. argh! the next night. the air-con was very cold. so i covered myself tightly with the quilt. but i kept woking up to search under the covers for more stuff to pack. i seriously thought i was going crazy.
worked at mastercard in the morning on tuesday then head off to shop with my sis! yay. it's been a long time since we went shopping.
first stop was mng to check out the wallet my sister needed a second opinion of before she bought it. haa..i thought it didn't look that great. but this jacket did. and yeah. i needed a knee guard for my sprained knee. boohoo.
i'm not willing to spend 99 bucks on this yet but i really really like it!
mng also has really nice shoes this season too. i liked the lethal sleek black stilettos and the leopard-print pumps. both 99 bucks too. haa..what's with the number man. it's appearing everywhere!
and bernice made some collages for me. haa. here i was trying to imitate her friend leelian.
and while she was admiring herself in the espirit shades she wanted, i toyed with her camera! so nice hor. she made this for me.
we had lots of fun at forever 21 too! she wanted to get the balenciaga bag in black at far east but decided to go back to check out whether the flat version or the boxy version is nicer. haa..i bet after seeing siena miller with the flat one in urban last thurs, you should be getting the one at dunamis right?
i then went to meet the guy!!! *squeals* and *squeals*!!! he became dorkier looking..haa..can type this since he's not reading. i missed him so much!!! after dinner, we went to tampines starbuck to hang out and just chat about all the stuff that has went on. it's really sad because he just gets to stay for one night.
the next day, his supervisor surprisingly let him out. so we both met at harbourfront for sakae! although we spent less than two hours together after that, it still made my day!
after he boarded the ship, we just chatted on the phone until we got cut off because he sailed too far away and there weren't any reception. i can't wait for the next time he gets back. it will be different though since i'll be having school.
the crowd of red getting off at kallang for the national day parade.
while sitting at pizza hut waiting for our takeaway pizza to be ready, i played peekaboo with this adorable malay baby.
spent thursday working at mastercard again. yay yay. can't wait for the money to be credited into my account.
spent friday sleeping because i wanted to rest my knee but carmen woke me up to get me to her hall bash at zouk.
so i met her later that night. i saw carmen driving!!! oooo...so exciting. i must i must i must learn how to drive!
the unique sink in the toilet. you have to press this button that reads 'push' and water will flow out from the top of the sink.
okay..i shall just let the photos do the talking since there's so many of them.
carmen's friend cheng ling getting entertained by a pageant guy who i later found out was Marco, the band major of tkss whom we tkgs girls used to gawk at while staring throught the fence that separated our school during their band pract.
was then united with sayinn and huiren after the pageant PREVIEW(carmee you know why it's capitalised!!!) ended.
i don't know what was so funny but i sort of like this photo.
supermodel huiren! she's so tall and thin that bernice said i looked like a funky pregnant mum beside her. oh well! at least she added the adjective 'funky'. nonetheless, i'm seriously considering whether i should remove this picture. the fact that she's got to bend so much is humiliating me!
the unique sink OUTSIDE the toilets.
someone pls teach me how to adjust the flash! it was constantly too bright!! all the photos were overexposed.
that's huiren boyfriend who was one of the pageant finalist. i told huiren he looked like zhang yao dong.
all the pageant people gathering behind zouk. so feast your eyes people.
we decided to retire to a quiet bar corner.
so nice to look at!
i lurve baileys so so much. drank abit only though. it was there that huiren's boyfriend taught us lots of fun games! the usual ones were 5-10 and the waves game. but there was this chinese martial arts and niu nai (milk) game that got me laughing so much. i tell you man. i seriously am a loser at these games. haa..kept forgetting what actions there were in the first place! so i told myself agnes play smart man. just remember two actions and alternate between these two actions. so i remember the crane and bunny action. freak! when it was my turn, i made a crane action with my fingers in the bunny action!
it was also the first time i reached the depths of phuture! it was always so crowded.
met pamela in phuture. haa..carmen looks drunk but i can vouch she's not! play lar..you see!
bye phuture!
and i'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms after i finished watching the korean drama serial Goong today. SHIJIA!!! thank you for recommending such a good show but i feel so sad that it ended. i want to watch more!!!
the good-looking cast. i must introduce them! hyo rin, yul, chae gyeong and shin.
i love shin and cai gyun!!! shin-gun!!! okay. i must verify that i am usually not so drama crazy. but this show is the best man. better that the liu xuan show that bernice and me were crazy about. most girls like the shorter guy on the left but i must say the guy on the right who plays shin is so much more charismatic!!! like jonathan leong. haa.
i'm seriously depressed from the lack of Goong episodes to watch. i might just rewatch the whole series again! i've to let out all my craziness for this serial here man. otherwise people might think i'm loco. oh! I LURVE GOONG! loony me.....
